The required equipment must be compatible and interchangeable with NIST’s existing Carl Zeiss Microscope, Model # Axiovert 200.*** ***Sole Source is determined based on the following: The microscope and accessories manufactured by Carl Zeiss are the only items that are 100% compatible and interchangeable with NIST’s existing Axiovert microscope. Carl Zeiss Microimaging Inc., is the sole manufacturer and distributor for this required microscope.*** ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 90 days after receipt of order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339111, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by August 31, 2005.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
