National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions- Neurosciences, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition, on behalf of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) intends to negotiate on a FAR Part 13 basis and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Jali Medical Inc., Suite 2425, 500 West Cummings Park, Woburn, MA 01801, for a BiStim Package with MagStim 200 and a MagStim 200 Coil Adapter. Jali Medical is the sole distributor of these products. These products are required to fulfill several protocols 03-N-0074 and 03-N-0267. An award to any other source would affect the NIH prior and current research would not provide any cost savings to the Government. Delivery and acceptance will be at the NIH Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 454390 and the Size Standard is $6.5 million. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition using FAR 13 procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
