Solicitation W911SD-12-T-0258 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source reference FAR 6.302-1. The U.S. Military Academy West Point NY is procuring the following equipment:
- BC1M2-300 M2 - Beam Propagation Analyzer Extension Set for BC106, 300mm - Qty. 4
- BC106-VIS - CCD Camera Beam Profiler, 6.6mm, VIS, 350-1100nm - Qty. 2

The United States Military Academy (USMA) intends to intends to award on a sole source basis, IAW 10USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, a contract to Thorlabs, Inc, 56 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860, as the only responsible source to provide BC1M2-300 M2 - Beam Propagation Analyzer Extension Set for BC106, 300mm - Qty. 4 & BC106-VIS - CCD Camera Beam Profiler, 6.6mm, VIS, 350-1100nm - Qty. 2. The Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering needs to maintain uniformity and compatibility. These camera beam profilers are already in use in the laboratory setting by cadet. The purchase of these beam profilers will continue to maintain uniformity and their operation and software package has already been validated on the DREN. The M2 beam Analysis Extension Kits are designed to function with the new and existing camera beam profilers. Thorlabs, Inc is the sole manufacturer and distributor of this Beam Propagation Set.

The total award amount is estimated to be $26,162.32. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The applicable NAICS Code is 333314 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers. However, all quotes received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement upon receipt of response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There will be no solicitation available.
