The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award a sole source, simplified acquisition to Dupont Qualicon, 3531 Silverside Road, Bedford Building, Wilmington, DE 19810. The requirement is for a quantity of five (5) each, BAX System Cycler/Detector, part number 41020001. The BAX System is proprietary to Dupont Qualicon and has been adopted by the USDA, FSIS to detect listeria monocytogenes in the nation’s meat and poultry supply. This is not a request for competitive quotations. Award will be made utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13-501(a). No solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested concerns may submit a capability statement within 10 days after the publication date of this notice. All timely responses will be considered, however, a determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
