THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO CANCEL THE ABOVE SOLICITATION IN ITS ENTIRETY. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to BARCO Simulation Products (BARCO) to purchase Barco projectors and lens. The projectors are need for the FHWA’s Highway Driving Simulator to increase its field of view to 180 degrees with fully edge blending images between the projectors and image alignment capability across the projects. Barco is the only supplier capable of this edge blending technology with a projector of this high-resolution capability. There is no other source available to provide the requirement item. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about August 13, 2003.
