The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Millar Instruments to furnish an AUO Transducer for use in the Research laboratories. NAICS code 423450 is applicable to this requirement, with a size standard of 100 employees. The government believes that Millar Instruments is the only authorized provider for the AUO Transducer . This is a sole source procurement utilizing 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can provide this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, no later than 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time, September 27, 2010. Interested offerors must provide supporting evidence of ability to provide the AUO Transducer or equal, whose salient qualities are characterized by its capability for use on both small and large animals; Dual pressure inputs; seven volume segments plus composite volume; internal ECG amplifiers; software controlled user interface; flexible gain and electrode configurations; built-in calibration technique using Rho-cuvette; comprehensive analysis software, compatibility with existing Millar’s single-segment and multi-segment Mikro-Tip® PV catheters.
