The Department of Veterans Affairs, VACT Healthcare System, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Andor Technology, for the Andor Dragonfly 502. The Andor Dragonfly 502 is a High Speed Confocal Imaging Platform For Confocal and laser-based widefield
imaging. Fitted with one camera port with a second available for field upgrade in the
future. Two pinhole patterns of 25um and 40um in confocal mode. Includes the patented
Borealis Perfect Illumination Delivery for high uniformity illumination and NIR imaging, zoom
illumination optics of 4x, 16x & 36x power density, and camera zoom optics of 1.0x, 1.5x and
2.0x for optimum resolution across different objective magnifications and camera pixel sizes.
Additionally, this is the only unit that only unit that offers the Borealis for even field illumination and flat wide field laser illumination and allows increased power density per unit area, which is critical for visualization of individual molecules.
