Source Sought Notice
(a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited.
(b) Although proposal, offeror, contractor, and offeror may be used in this source sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.
(c) Any information received from a contractor in response to this Sources Sought may be used in creating a solicitation. Any information received which is marked with a statement, such as proprietary or confidential, intended to restrict distribution will not be distributed outside of the Government, except as required by law.
(d) This Sources Sought is issued for the purpose of collecting information about the availability of vendors that can offer equal products from different sources for the desired equipment listed below.
(e) Contractors that feel they have an equal product are encouraged to email full information to

Contractors shall identify the NAICS code for the product being offered as well as their size status.
Contractors shall complete the Price-Cost Schedule for the purpose of market research.
Contractors shall include the terms and conditions of the warranty for all proposed equal products.

(h) At this the time, the only known source is BIOMERIEUX INC. Based upon responses to this posting the Government may determine to proceed with a sole source acquisition, issue a competitive solicitation, or cancel the requirement.
(i) Your ability to provide a MS Instrument, Prep Station, Acquisition Station, Myla Instrument Interface, IVD Database or equal. The SFVA already has BioMerieux instrumentation and the BioMerieux Vitek MS with Myla is the only instrument that can integrate with the current system in place.
(j) Offers of equal products - Offeror must clearly indicate in its offer that the product being offered is an equal product. The equal product must have the same physical, functional, or performance characteristics as the items referenced above and must have the capability to integrate with existing system. Please provide technical specification if offering an equal product.
(k) Indicate if you have delivered similar system in the past. If you have, provide details as to similarity, date delivered, and customer contact.
(l) State if your company has any government contracts against which this requirement could be ordered (e.g., GSA, SEWP, NAC, GSA BPA, etc.).
(m) New Equipment ONLY; NO remanufactured, used/refurbished or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. No product in development shall be considered.
(n) Authorized dealers: Experienced firms only who are authorized dealers will be considered in addition to the original equipment manufacturer. A letter from the manufacturer stating your company is an authorized dealer for the line items must be in possession by the due date and be available for submission, if requested.
