The VA Puget Sound Health Care System intends to issue a sole source contract to Applied Biosystems to upgrade the ABI 3130xl Genetic Analyzer. This is a sole source procurement under SAP, 38 U.S.C 8153 and other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, however, any firm that believes it can meet the following requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, Robin Tice, VAPSHCS, 9600 Veterans Drive, Bldg 6, Tacoma, WA 98493 with in (5) days form the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrated the ability to comply with this requirement. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses t this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government.
