1MHZ HORIZONTAL PROFILER.This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source to NortekUSA. The requirement is for the procurement of two 1MHz Horizontal Doppler Profilers IWA the salient characteristics posted below. The Doppler units MUST meet the following characteristics: 1 MHz Sideways looking Doppler. Two analog inputs. Two horizontal acoustic beams with 64 or more measurement cells. Internal tilt sensor. Internal compass. PUV (The wave height, period and spectra estimates are based on the pressure (P) signal and the wave directional estimates are based on the wave¿s orbital velocity (U and V) measurements) Wave burst collection capability. Noise filter to reduce night time noise levels. To the knowledge of the USGS, NortekUSA is the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements. Interested parties will submit an email detailing their capabilities and experience with these services. Sufficient information must be provided to demonstrate the ability to complete the services.
