This is a notice of contract action (NOCA). This is not a solicitation for quotes. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this NOCA or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this NOCA is to notify industry of the VA s intent of contact action and possibly gain knowledge of other potentially-qualified sources and their size classifications. Notice of contract action: Miami VA Contracting intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract under FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR part 8, Required Sources of Supplies and Services, to Roche Diagnostics Corp for the purchase of reagent/consumables/agreement on the Ventana Benchmark Ultra platform. The estimated value of the acquisition is $90k. Vendors who believe they can meet this requirement in the future once current Ventana machine is determined to be at the end of its useful life - should submit a capability statement, providing clear and convincing evidence supporting the assertion. The Ventana machine in place was a capital purchase of the VA s in 2013 and it would be cost-prohibitive for the VA to procure an alternative machine. As such, Roche is the only company authorized to provide reagents and service. All information shall be in writing, sent via email, and must contain sufficient detail to allow the government representative to evaluate and determine if it can meet the requirement. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 EST, September 28, 2020.
