Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a limited source contract with Veterans Healthcare Supply (VHSS), Inc. for Mizuho Trios Spine and Trauma Tables. This procurement is intended to be used in Operating Room Department in order to treat trauma patients that require orthopedic, radiolucent, and surgical procedures. The proposed action is IAW FAR 6.302-5(b)(6) Sole source awards under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (15 U.S. Code § 657f), FAR 19.1406 sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, and 13 CFR § 121.406(b) Nonmanufacturers. Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is wholly within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for paying on any costs incurred and/or associated with the development of any responses submitted to this notice.
