Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 5 (NCO 5) is seeking information to procure on a sole source basis with a suitable contractor via a Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP).
The purpose for this contract is to provide an efficient procurement vehicle for replenishing the stock of reusable celling lift slings for the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). VHA Directive 1611(1) states that employees will utilize SPHM technology for patient handling tasks that require lifting over 35 pounds of patient weight . Martinsburg VAMC are requesting the acquisition of various ceiling lift slings to prevent any potential disruption to the quality of care for Veterans and potential increase of staff injuries. The SAP contract will be a base with no options.
The NAICS code for this contract action is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard: No larger than 750 employees). The Product Service Code for this action is 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The required products are unique to the facilities existing ceiling lifts. The products must be compatible with HandiCare MedCare ceiling lifts, to accommodate the currently installed equipment.
This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; Interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT 14 May, 2021 at 4:00 PM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required products. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
