The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their business size status relative to NAICS Code 334510; Size Standard of 1,250 employees (or other similar related NAICS). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to form a reasonable expectation that two or more small business concerns owned and controlled by veterans will submit offers and that the award can be made at a fair and reasonable price that offers best value to the United States. Responses to this notice are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando VA Medical Center 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando FL 32827, VHA Network 08 Contracting Office is seeking information concerning possible sources to provide the items described below. The goal of this commodity contract is to provide a Recorder Calibration Free Reflux. The Government intends to award a single, firm fixed price contract. The period of performance is for one-time Firm-Fixed Price award. Essential/significant physical, functional, or performance characteristics. Dimensions: (in mm) Height: 90 mm (3.5 in.) Width: 100 mm (3.9 in.) Depth: 30 mm (1.2 in.) Industry Standard pH, or reflux, testing is the gold standard for diagnosing GERD (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux disease). Measure for reflux, industry Is moving away from calibration-required probes to calibration- free probes which do not utilize additional supplies and liquids for calibration. Purpose This capsule-based, patient-friendly reflux test measures acid levels in the esophagus to diagnose Gastro-Esophageal Reflux disease. capsule-based reflux test measures acid levels in the esophagus calibration-free reflux recorder features: Multiple event buttons that allow patients to mark symptom events and record symptom duration during meal and supine times USB cable interface that enables quick and direct data upload as well as flexible recorder battery recharging Internal, rechargeable battery that eliminates the need for battery replacement prior to each study, reducing procedure cost A calibration-free reflux capsule that is ready for placement at the time of a negative endoscopy without disrupting workflow. Can be activated, paired with the recorder, and place in patient to start assessing acid reflux. Wireless pH system The system features: Saved settings that eliminate the need to update prior to each procedure Simple study and data upload procedures Calibration-free capsule that takes away the need to manage and store buffer solutions and testing tubes in the endoscopy suite All interested firms should provide the following information: company size, company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, veteran status (VOSB or SDVOSB), capability statement to perform the services, and a statement describing whether there is a reasonable expectation an offer/quote will be submitted at a fair and reasonable price that offers best value to the United States.
