Box 610 Center Valley, PA 18034, for providing the Veterans Administration Medical Center Urology section with a lease agreement for procedure scopes, maintenance, and service as well as 4 option years. The current scopes being used within the Veterans Administration is the URF-V2 Slim Flexible Video Ureteroscopes and CystoNephro Videoscopes. This is a brand name action due to the specified scope must be compatible with the current system. It has been determined that Olympus America Inc. is the one responsible source who can provide this requirement in the Houston TX area in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements . DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) Urology section is requesting a lease agreement for procedure scopes, maintenance, and service and option years. These scopes have been trained upon by all providers including physicians, residents, fellows, medical instrument technicians, etc. These scopes and attachments are all compatible to the Olympus integration system that is hardwired to the operating rooms and screens throughout the Urology section. If another scope vendor were to be used, it is not compatible to the integration system that was installed.
