The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Office of Research and Development (R&D), Regional Procurement Office (RPO) East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with NanoString Technologies, Inc. The requirement is for the procurement an additional nCounter® Pro Prep-station sample preparation station. The requirement is for the contractor to provide an additional NanoString nCounter Max System and ship required equipment (all components that make up this system) to the San Francisco VA Medical Center, Research and Development Service, San Francisco, CA 94121. This procurement shall be inclusive of shipping and handling charges (FBO Destination). This procurement is being conducted IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements and VHAPM Part 813.106-1(b), Other Than Full and Open Competition less than SAT for Open Market Items. This is because the Government asserts that NanoString Technologies, Inc. is the only contractor that can provide this specific equipment needed by the Research and Development Service at San Francisco VA Medical Center. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the Contracting Officer no later than Wednesday, January 25, 2023, (4:00 PM, EST).
