Sources Sought Notice to negotiate a sole source contract to obtain Y-90 TheraSphere radioactive microspheres, direct patient care supply items, to be used in Interventional Radiology at VA Boston, West Roxbury Division to be procured from Biocompatible, Inc., 115 Hurley Rd., Building 3F, Oxford, CT 06478. The Yttrium-90 microspheres known as TheraSpheres are used to treat primary liver cancer. Each does is calibrated to be patient specific and is intended to prolong the patient's life while awaiting liver transplant. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate and award a base plus 4 potential option year contract to procure the Yttrium-90 TheraSpheres from Biocompatibles, Inc., the sole manufacturer of this proprietary technology. The applicable NAICS code is 325412. The FSC/PSC is 6505.
