The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item procurement with Erbe USA Inc for two VIO 300D electrosurgical units with endocut and APC2 Argon plasma coagulators as well as the required system accessories. This unit has the unique endocut mode as well as the plasma coagulation feature that are required for the procedures performed at the Medical Centers. This proposed procurement is for supplies which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested small businesses may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than Noon, January 26, 2010, local time. Interested small businesses must submit all technical information required to make a determination the proposed equipment meets or exceeds the specifications of the above referenced equipment. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
