Synopsis: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation will be issued. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a) (2), authorized or required by statue. This is one time procurement. VISN 17 Contracting Activity intends to award a sole source purchase with a St. Jude Medical Inc to purchase (three) 3 cases of Vascular Closure Angio-Seal 6 French, Sts Plus, Sterile. The procurement will be for the VAMC Dallas, Texas. The estimated amount is $7,499.40. The Government believes that St. Jude Medical Inc is the only company that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with sole source procurement for the required equipment. To the best of our knowledge, St. Jude Medical Inc is the only source that provides the above indicated items and features. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510 and the size standard is 500 employees. This is not a request for proposals; however, an interested party may e-mail a written capability statement with sufficient experience for these required services, which shall not exceed two (2) pages in length. Interested parties may submit their capability statements, and qualifications for the provision of this service, which may or may not be considered by the agency via email to [email protected] no later than 4:00 PM CST on May 20, 2011. If no responses are received, the Dallas VA Medical Center will proceed with sole source procurement with St. Jude Medical Inc.
