The Naval Hospital Pensacola, Materials Management Department, Purchasing, on behalf of the Main Operating Room, intends to award a sole source procurement to Synthes for Trochanteric Fixation Nail Implants to be used in Femoral Nail Insertion Sets, Locking Sets and I.M. Flexible Reamer Sets presently used in the Operating Room. These implants must be compatible with existing sets. Award will be made using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) “See Note 22” This procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339113. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within 3 days after publication of the synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
