The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System of the Nashville Campus intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302 with the American Red Cross National Testing Center, 4050 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108. The contract will be National Testing Center will provide routine NAT testing services for the following: Procleix HIV-1/HCV Assay HIV-1 Discriminatory Assay** Procleix West Nile Virus Assay * HBV* HCV Discriminatory Assay. NAICS Code 621511. A contract for the period 10-1-11 through 9-30-12 is anticipated. Interested parties have until September 26, 2011, 2:00 pm CST to submit in writing their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after 2:00 pm CST, September 26, 2011 or without sufficient information to enable the Government to determine that a firm is qualified and capable to perform contract requirements, will be deemed nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
