Salient Characteristics
Any Vendor or manufacturer is acceptable.
Desired is a Transcutaneous (through the skin) monitor that will measure oxygen tension and perfusion.
Required is a portable unit with three sensors that utilize non-invasive probes to measure the amount of Oxygen that is diffused from the capillaries into the skin.
In addition: The vendor will provide Biomedical Service technician training for 2 technicians. The training will be equal or better to what the manufacturer provides for their service technicians and will convey all access needed to service the provided equipment.
The vendor shall provide user manuals that describe proper use, care and cleaning for users of the equipment.
In addition, the vendor will provide a service manual that includes theory of operation, maintenance requirements, repair information, schematics, part lists and troubleshooting information in electronic format for use by the VA Biomedical Engineering Department.
Date of manufacture must not be greater than 2 years before the purchase order date. The equipment must not be used or refurbished and must have the latest manufacturer's software/hardware updates installed. Any batteries provided with the unit will not be manufactured more than 12 months before the purchase order issue date.
