This FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY announcement is a notice that TRICARE Southeast, which includes all DoD (Army, Air Force, N avy) Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina are in the process of standardizing Sutures as listed in the subject line above. Companies who currently possess or are in the process of obta ining a Distribution and Pricing Agreements (DAPAs) with the Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia (DSCP) for this product are eligible to participate in the standardization process. Base company criteria for this product Line: Sutures includes but is not limited to the following: must carry a FULL LINE OF SUTURES , must provide customer support in the form of a sales representative for each MTF within the TRICARE Southeast Region, m ust provide clinical support, education programs, and utilization reports, must provide companys return policy, must provide companys distribution network, must be able to provide product for all MTFs within the TRICARE Southeast Region, must provide vol ume discounts, and must provide electronic and hard-copy of proposed pricing and competitive product cross-reference. Must be able to provide representatives and product for vendor demonstrations at no charge to the government and conduct product in-servi ces for medical treatment facilities as needed. Must have or be in the process of obtaining a DAPA Number before the evaluation phase begins. Base technical criteria for this product line: Provide your Company Name, Point of contact, email address, phone number, and address. Is your company a manufacturer or distributor of Suture Material? Does your company manufacture or distribute a full product line in a variety of sizes, types, lengths, of SUTURES? (i.e., types - natural, synthetic; chromic, vicryl, nylon, prolene, silk, free needles & ties; material types, lengths etc) List the type a nd brand name of products and sizes. Does your company have a DAPA number? If so what is it? If your company does not have a DAPA number, provide date applied for. Are your products on a Federal Supply Schedule? Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? If not, provide date applied for. Are your Products FDA approved? Under what standards are your products manufactured? Is your product latex free? Do you use non-toxic, color fast dyes for labeling on your products? Do you carry a variety of Suture Lengths? What sizes? What kind of needle points to you have? Do you have a full range of needle types (Eye, Cardiac, vascular, OS, etc) Packaging features: Expiration date visible? Lot number? Shelf life in years? Color coded by size? Needle type clearly identified on packaging with pictorial? ½ circle, 1/8 circle, etc? Length of time product has been on the market? How are your needles packaged? Does your company have the ability to service the entire Region? What is the return goods policy? Are there, or had there been any safety alerts for your suture? If so, please provide data. What testing was performed to support the efficacy of your products? Any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group? If yes, please list dates and duration length, cause, and resolution. Do you offer clinical support for each Medical Treatment Facility? What types of educational tools/materials do you have for the product line?
