In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to enter into a single source contract award with Sun Nuclear for the purchase of ArcCHECK Package Multiplug Package for VMAT and IMRT. This requirement is for Seattle VAMC, Seattle, WA 98108. The anticipated award date is April 7, 2016.
All VMAT and IMRT treatment plans must be tested using the ArcCHECK instrument prior to start of patient treatment. ArcCHECK utilizes the only 4D detector array, as well as the only detector array designed specifically for rotational delivery. This instrument replaces Seattle VAMC's current Sun Nuclear MapCHECK instrument, which is no longer manufactured and will soon be at the end of manufacturer support for repair, therefore no other make or model will meet the requirement of the Government.
Sun Nuclear Corporation is the only manufacturer for this piece of equipment; therefore it's unique in its production.
