The Air Force Medical Logistics Office/Veterans Affairs Special Services (AFMLO/VASS) Contracting Office, 1423 Sultan Drive, Suite 200, Fort Detrick, MD has a requirement for a Stereolithography System for its customer located at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. The AFMLO/VASS intends to negotiate with 3D Systems Inc., 26081 Avenue Hall, Valencia, CA 91355 as the only responsible source. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22. This requirement is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government contemplates a firm fixed price award. The requirement is for one (1) Stereolithography Apparatus, Model SLA 7000, to include maintenance and build materials, one (1) Vat Fill, one (1) Post Curing Apparatus. The Air Force Medical Logistics Office/Veterans Affairs Special Services Offices intends to award a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Solicitation number RFQ-797-FDF4-02-0054 is assigned to this procurement. The North American Industrial Code is 333999 and the small business size is 500 employees. This is set aside for small business. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based on response to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the Government.
