The VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with L1 Enterprises, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Company, of 340 W Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701 for Spectralis Upgrade from Advanced to Multicolor - OCT+BP. L1 Enterprises is the manufacturer of this specific device that is to be used to perform Optometry procedures. This system is well proven in clinical practices and is familiar to the surgeons who currently use the Spectralis OCT+BP. Standardization across both campuses will result in greater efficiency and increased familiarity by OR personnel and result in significant and critical improvement regarding the continuity of patient safety. Research conducted on GSA advantage and other governmental websites failed to locate other responsible sources that may be able to provide a product that will meet the Services needs. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 08/08/2013 @ 12:00pm. Responses should be sent to [email protected].
