This is a notice of the Government’s intent to award sole source (Note 22) to Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. for use without separate charge of two Benchmark XT and one Nexes module for a slide staining system. These systems incorporate fully au tomated baking, de-paraffinization and staining technology for immunohistochemistry and in-situ hybridization. All reagents and other consumables necessary in the routine operation of the said equipment will be purchased from Ventana Medical Systems as par t of the contract. Annual reagent and consumable costs are expected to approximate $65,000 per year. This award is for Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20307, solicitation number W91YTZ-04-T-0056. This is for a base year and four option years. All interested parties must be registered in the Contractor Central Registration (CCR) in order to receive an award.
