Notice of Intent for Sole Source

The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central intends to award a sole source contract to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics for the purchase of reagents (as a cost-per-test arrangement) to be used with Advia Centuar XP Immunoassay currently required in support of the Department of Pathology and Area Laboratory Services (DPALS), San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The acquisition of Advia Centuar XP directly supports DPALS' mission of Clinical Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, and Support services; education to the BAMC community; and, serves as consultant for the Southern Regional Medical Command and other DoD medical treatment facilities worldwide.

This sole-source procurement is necessary based on the cancellation of Solicitation W81K00-15-T-0287. The requested for 6 months is necessary to provide adequate time for the government to define their long term needs and solicit the long term requirement based on those needs.
