Page 1 of 1 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE SAPHENOUS VEIN The Department of Veterans Affairs, Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) soliciting from one source when CO determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with CryoLife, Inc., 1655 Roberts Blvd NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144, for Saphenous Veins, Product Number V010. The prescribed item, saphenous vein graft, will be purchased from the vendor identified because they are able to meet the veteran s immediate needs. The item was prescribed by the veteran s attending physician who has the authority to prescribe the method of treatment to best satisfy the medical condition of the patient. The physician has determined that these saphenous veins allow the best possible care to the veteran patient. The Government believes that only one business can reasonably satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source. Other Contractors may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement by Monday, August 20, 2018, by 09:00 AM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation is available now.
