The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases (CCID), National Center for Zoonotic, Vector-Borne and Enteric Diseases (NCZVED), Division of Viral and Rickettsial Diseases (DVRD) is seeking to award a sole source commercial Purchase Order for one (1) each Roche Linear Array Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Genotyping Kit, Part No. 4472209190 and one (1) each Roche Linear Array Detection Kit, Part No. 3378012190. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, the Government has determined that Roche Diagnostic Corporation, Indianapolis IN 46250, is the only responsible source to satisfy this requirement. The Government believes these two (2) items together comprise the only assay available to research laboratoies for the purpose of identifying and genotyping the individual HPV types that are known to cause cervical cancer. The Government intends to Request quotes on 10 September with award by 15 September 2007. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within three (3) days from the date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
