VISN 19 Rocky Mountain Network intends to negotiate a sole source agreement with Bonfils Blood Center, 717 Yosemite Circle, Denver, CO 80220, to provide blood products and related services to the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS), Denver, Colorado. Supplies and services are required for a base year. Requirements shall include but are not limited to the supply of blood and blood components to ECHCS, provide credit for return of packed cells leukoreduced, platelets pherisis, and services in testing blood and blood components in accordance with FDA standards, and handling, packaging and delivering blood and blood components in accordance with FDA regulations. This is a unique supplier in that this organization is the only source readily available to the ECHCS, with capabilities of delivering the variety of supplies required, and providing services and supplies on an immediate and emergent basis. VISN 19 currently has contracts with three blood suppliers, and Bonfils is the only source able to meet the minimum requirements of the ECHCS. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirement by providing a capability statement and qualifications which must contain specific information on supplying these types of products and services in accordance with FDA rules, regulations, and guidelines. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all capability statements received within 10 calendar days after the date or submission of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
