The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) Contracting Office (90C) anticipates a sole source award of a Firm-Fixed-Priced contract to Fraunhofer USA, Inc. Contractor is the sole manufacture of the AIMV recombinant plant viral particles containing specific Protective Antigen (PA) pepetide sequences corresponding to known immunodominant epitopes for the PA protein. These particles are to be used in the development of assays for the rapid detection of biological warfare (BW) agents. Following the guidelines outlined in FAR Parts 12 and 14, it is anticipated that the solicitation shall be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for acquisition of a commercial service. The applicable NAISC code is 325414- 500, and the procurement shall be set aside for small business. The anticipated issued date of the written RFQ is o/a 18 March 2003, and the proposal due date is 21 March 2003.
