The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to purchase the (77776-026) PAXgene Blood RNA tubes from VWR International 1050 Satelite Boulevard, Suwanee, GA 30021. These items are to be used to conduct NICHD approved protocols of the Perinatology Research Branch. The PAXgene Blood RNA System is a revolutionary, enabling technology that consolidates and integrates the key steps of whole blood collection, nucleic add stabilization, and RNA purification. By minimizing the unpredictability associated with RNA processing, the system provides enhanced accuracy of intracellular RNA analysis. We have utilized this unique technology in our clinical research protocols. Changing the vendor in the middle of the? research project will make our data useless since we will not be able 10 compare the results obtained from all of our previous assaysAll responsible businesses that are capable of providing the Government with the items that are listed above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8501 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-103 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is January 2, 2007.
