The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to procure on a sole source basis PAXgene Blood RNA tubes (100 cases) from VWR International, 1064 W Morocco Road, Temperance, MI 48182. The PAXgene tubes have been used to conduct protocols of the Perinatology Research Branch. Changing vendors in the middle of the research project will make the data useless since the lab won’t be able to compare the results obtained from the previous assays. By Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 22 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
