The Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS), 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, AR, intends to negotiate sole source procurement with Medtronic, 710 Medtronic Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55432-3576, for the purchase of 2 D224TRK Pacemakers/Defibrillators and 3 Lead Implant. This is an Emergency requirement. The NAICS Number is 339113. Only the D224TRK offers intrathoracic impedance monitoring (Optivol) by measuring fluid inside the chest. There is no other manufacturer that makes this product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties that believe they can meet these needs must furnished sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement no later than 12:00 09/09/2011. All Information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
