Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cepheid (DUNS: 956711444), pursuant to FAR 13106-1(b)(2) and Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The proposed sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is for Cepheid brand reagents, in the part numbers and quantities outlined in the below table. The BPA will have an period of performance of one base period and four option years. Cepheid is the sole distributor and manufacturer of the required reagents (assays) for the GeneXpert and Infinity equipment. Cepheid has no authorized resellers of their reagent products. There are not any universal assays that work in the Cepheid brand GeneXpert and Infinity molecular diagnostics equipment.
