The Network Business Center, Veterans Affairs intends to procure, on = an other than full and open competitive basis to the following: Biomerieux Inc. 595 Anglum Road, Hazelwood, Missouri. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for Microbiology Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing that will be processed through Biomerieux Vitek 2 instruments. The intended contract will be for a base period of one year with the government=92s option to extend the contract in one-year increments for four (4) one-year option periods.=20 Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All proposals received by 4:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, August 11, 2003, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
