The VA Service Area Office East (SAO-E) R&D Contracting Office intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with MagVenture, Inc., a small business located at 2300 Lakeview Parkway, Suite 700, Alpharetta, GA 3009, for the procurement of a MagPro R30 Magnetic Stimulator and related components/accessories, for delivery, installation and training at the VA San Antonio Medical Center, 7400 Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229.
This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302(b)(1)(i)- only 1 responsible source, because the Government believes that 1) MagVenture, Inc., is the only manufacturer/seller/installer/trainer of/for these units and 2) that only these units have the requisite technology and performance features needed by the scientists in the unique research setting they will be used in.
