This is a Sources Sought Notice. This notice is a mechanism for obtaining feedback from industry in regard to the general requirement stated below. THIS IS NOT A SYNOPSIS FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Rather, it is a market research tool to determine potential sources for future surgical requirements. The Government is not obligated to, nor will the Government pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice.

The US Army Medical Command, Southern Region Contracting Office - East is seeking interest from potential sources for the following dental alloy:
JCB High Noble, yellow, type III crown and bridge casting alloy with the following chemistry: 62% gold, 25% silver, 9% copper, 3% palladium and less than 1% of zinc, indium and iridium. Properties: melting range of 1625 degrees to 1680 degrees F; density of 14.2 g/cm , and grain size of 15 microns. Hardness: of 165HV hardened and 135HV softened. Tensil Elongation of 26% hardened and 50% softened. Tensil yield Strength (PSI) of 65,000 hardened and 35,600 softened. Ultimate tensile strength (PSI) of 84,000 hardened and 60,300 softened. Must be compatible with Creation porcelains.
This is not a request for proposal. However, companies that can provide an equal product MUST SUBMIT THEIR TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES TO INCLUDE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THEIR PRODUCT, PAST PERFORMANCE INFORMATION, PRICE, DELIVERY TIME AND TECHNICAL/MEDICAL SUPPORT. This information will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for consideration for future requirements.
