The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR Part 13.501(a), Sole Source (including brand name) acquisitions, to Corps Biologic (SDVOSB), firm fixed price purchase order that provides for the delivery of a Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT (Model 5000) with AngioPlex OCT Angiography and Accessories to the Honolulu, HI Department of Veterans Affairs. This notice of intent is not a request for a quotation and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. During the market research phase, the following was considered: capabilities of service disable veteran owned small businesses, what equipment will suit satisfy the needs of the medical center and if there were any authorized distributors of this product. Per the manufacturer, the only authorized distributor of this product that is a service disable veteran owned small businesses is Corps Biologic.
