DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Bard-Access Systems, INC, 605 N 5600 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC 2005-50. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. The requirements of this solicitation are as follows: (1) Integrated Sherlock 3CG Tip Location System (Model # 9770024), MFR: Bard Access Systems. 2 Each Items will be shipped to Nebraska Western Iowa Healthcare System, NWIHCS, 4101 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, NE 68105. The items listed is/are compatible with existing Government-owned equipment. It would not be practical or cost effective to purchase a brand other than the recommended and due to standardization. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. NAICS Code 339112, with a size standard of 500 employees applies to this procurement. All inquiries received by 12:00 P.M. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
