2 2 STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) Intego PET Infusion System Introduction and Overview: This statement of work involves acquiring a PET radiopharmaceutical infusion system for delivering accurate PET doses while cutting down radiation exposure. General Nuclear Medicine radiopharmaceuticals are injected by hand but higher energy PET radiopharmaceuticals deliver more radiation thus exposing the person injecting to higher radiation exposures. This system shields the dose and allows the Technologist to deliver the dose hands free. Background: This infusion system is used to accurately dispense PET Radiopharmaceuticals to the patient while reducing radiation exposure to staff. Bayer is the only company that is producing systems like this. Emphasis is on reducing radiation exposure and this system does just that. Improve Radiopharmaceutical Utilization Practical and precise weight based dosing enables clinicians to prescribe a minimum acceptable dose for each unique patient Utilization of a multi dose vial streamlines workflow, and creates opportunity for schedule compression and fewer radiopharmaceutical deliveries Drive Operational Efficiency Automated dose preparation, administration, and documentation eliminates non value added steps Mobile, with full battery operation streamlines processes and workflow Enhance Practice Competitiveness Precise, personalized dosing differentiates Medrad Intego sites to the surrounding referral base Dose on demand functionality provides the flexibility to respond to late arriving patients or those with unmet prep conditions Personalize Patient Care Automated weight based dosing from a simple touchscreen enables clinicians to administer an accurate, personalized dose for each patient Variable flow rate (0.5 ml/sec or 1ml/sec) and saline test infusion support treatment for fragile veins Reduce Technologist Radiation Exposure Tungsten and lead shielding provide proven reductions in radiation exposure to technologists Automated dose preparation and infusion enables increased distance and hands off operation Scope of Work: To purchase one Intego PET Infusion System for the Nuclear Medicine department. Requirements: This system will hold the PET Radiopharmaceuticals in a lead shield and will dispense the correct dose to the patient based on the type of PET scan that will be performed. Place of Performance: The system will be delivered to the Nuclear Medicine Department at the Northport VAMC building 200 basement, Northport, NY 11768 This is for brand name or equal for the above item. This will be awarded based on the lowest price technically acceptable, all technical specs in the statement of work must be met.
