STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
Intego PET Infusion System
Introduction and Overview:
This statement of work involves acquiring a PET radiopharmaceutical infusion system for delivering accurate PET doses while cutting down radiation exposure.
General Nuclear Medicine radiopharmaceuticals are injected by hand but higher energy PET
radiopharmaceuticals deliver more radiation thus exposing the person injecting to higher radiation exposures. This system shields the dose and allows the Technologist to deliver the dose hands free.
Background:
This infusion system is used to accurately dispense PET Radiopharmaceuticals to the patient while reducing radiation exposure to staff. Bayer is the only company that is producing systems like this.
Emphasis is on reducing radiation exposure and this system does just that.
Improve Radiopharmaceutical Utilization
Practical and precise weight based dosing enables clinicians to prescribe a minimum acceptable dose for each unique patient
Utilization of a multi dose vial streamlines workflow, and creates opportunity for schedule
compression and fewer radiopharmaceutical deliveries Drive Operational Efficiency
Automated dose preparation, administration, and documentation eliminates non value added steps
Mobile, with full battery operation streamlines processes and workflow
Enhance Practice Competitiveness
Precise, personalized dosing differentiates Medrad Intego sites to the surrounding referral base
Dose on demand functionality provides the flexibility to respond to late arriving patients or those with unmet prep conditions Personalize Patient Care
Automated weight based dosing from a simple touchscreen enables clinicians to administer an
accurate, personalized dose for each patient
Variable flow rate (0.5 ml/sec or 1ml/sec) and saline test infusion support treatment for fragile veins
Reduce Technologist Radiation Exposure
Tungsten and lead shielding provide proven reductions in radiation exposure to technologists
Automated dose preparation and infusion enables increased distance and hands off operation
Scope of Work:
To purchase one Intego PET Infusion System for the Nuclear Medicine department.
Requirements:
This system will hold the PET Radiopharmaceuticals in a lead shield and will dispense the correct dose to the patient based on the type of PET scan that will be performed.
Place of Performance:
The system will be delivered to the Nuclear Medicine Department at the Northport VAMC building 200 basement, Northport, NY 11768
This is for brand name or equal for the above item. If you are quoting an equal, please provide specification & brochure. Please see the statement of work for specification. This will be awarded based on the lowest price technically acceptable, all technical specs in the statement of work must be met.
