The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD), on behalf of Joint Program Executive Office-Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD), Joint Project Management Office of Chemical Biological Medical Systems (JPMO CBMS) Biological Defense, intends to negotiate and award a sole-source procurement instrument to Idaho Technology Inc.(ITI), 390 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108-1214. This effort is to provide the Government with 1,667 Expanded Flu Panel diagnostic assay kits for operational use on the JBAIDS instrument. ITI is the only manufacturer of the JBAIDS instrument that is cleared with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. As such, ITI is the only source capable of providing the required Expanded Flu Panel diagnostic assay kits within the required schedule. The time required to develop and clear new kits with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration would not allow the JPMO CBMS to meet its current schedule requirements.
