The John D Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R Street, Detroit, MI 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Alcon Laboratories/Surgical Div, 6201 S Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76134. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of a Infiniti Phacoemulsification cataract extracting machine which is used for cataract surgiers. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B), only one source. This procurement was posted on E-Buy with no responses. This is not a request for quotes. No solicitation documents will be issued. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later than August 10, 2006 at 1:00P.M. Local time. All informatin shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
