This is a pre-solicitation notice. This notice is NOT a Request for Quote or an Invitation for Bid. The sole reason for this notice is to notify potential offerors that the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), West Palm Beach, Florida intends to negotiate a firm fixed price type contract. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the service and or provide the deliverables described in the Statement of Work. This project includes the installation of the Essential NEO upgrade and all related work for the modification of equipment booms to be upgraded. This solicitation will be prepared in accordance with the format in FAR part 12 and subpart 13.5, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This requirement is being solicited as a total service disable veteran owned small business set aside and only qualified sellers may submit quotes. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334510 with a size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Quotes will be solicited under solicitation number VA248-14-Q-1400. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov. The anticipated solicitation release date is August 2014, and the close date shall be approximately 15 days thereafter. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
