Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Varian Medical Systems, Inc., for the purchase of Eclipse Rapid Arc Planning License for the G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery, VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 541511 with a business size standard of $27.5 million. The proposed contract is for equipment which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested sources may submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates ability to meet the requirements by submitting their interest in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
