The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Intuitive Surgical Inc. 950 Kifer Road, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 to purchase multiple supplies for the Davinci Robotic Surgical System. No other vendor has been found that has the capabilities of providing these supplies since they are proprietary to the manufacturer, Intuitive. This notice of intent to Sole Source is NOT a request for competitive proposals. No other vendors are being solicited to identify their interest and capability to provide these items as described above. No telephone responses will be accepted. There will not be a determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on the proprietary rights that Intuitive Surgical has to these supplies for this piece of equipment.
