The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Columbia, SC, intends to negotiate a sole source consignment agreement with Alcon Laboratories, 6201 South Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76134 to provide Intraocular Lenses to the VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, for the period of August 1, 2002 through July 31, 2003. Negotiations to begin on or about July 22, 2002. Applicable NACIS code is 339113. This Notice of Intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received not later than 4:00PM, July 19, 2002.
