The Europe Regional Contracting Office, Landstuhl, Germany, intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Fresenius Kabi LLC, Redmond, WA, for two (2) Compomat G4 Automated Blood System, components, installation, training and associated freight charges to be used at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Blood Donor Center, Germany. The acquisition of this equipment is part of the U.S. Armys Blood Program, Office of the Surgeon General, effort to standardize equipment and procedures across all U.S. Army Blood Donor Centers. Delivery is required no later than 31 October 2010.
The proposed procurement is for equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. However, interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement shall submit technical data (including cost) sufficient to determine compatibility of specified items. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
