This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339112. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking both manufacturers and/or distributors of the exact match or functionally equivalent equipment to the Topcon Aladdin Ocular Biometer. This equipment is needed to provide diagnosis and monitoring of anterior segment disease and glaucoma. The following are the salient characteristics that must met in order to meet the need of the VA: Corneal Pachymetry: An instrument is needed that will provide measurement of the central corneal thickness. Pupillometry: An instrument is needed that will provide measurement of the pupil size under bright and dim illumination. Anterior segment Biometry: An instrument is needed that will provide measurement of axial length, keratometry, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness for IOL selection and for the management of diseases affecting the anterior segment of the eye. Corneal Topography: An instrument is needed that will provide quantification of the surface topography of the anterior and posterior cornea to aid in pre- and post-operative assessments and the fitting and management of specialty contact lenses. Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing the exact match or similar product. Please include your business size with your submittal. If providing a submittal and offering equipment as a distributor (non-manufacturer), those contractors shall also submit proof of authorization to distribute from the manufacturer of the offered equipment. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government.
